In times of universal deceit, telling
the truth is a revolutionary act.
         - George Orwell

Napoleon once observed that "history" is a set of lies agreed upon. In an era of ubiquitous fake news and information warfare, this has never been more true. The very concept of objective truth in history is fading out of our world. Pure propaganda and outright lies are passing into our history textbooks as unquestioned truth, condemning future generations to false views about historical reality. But the task of sifting through the lies and propaganda is overwhelming, limited by the ambition and time constraints of most observors. Only those who have dedicated their lives to sorting reality from falsehood are qualified to rewrite "consensus" history as a duty to humanity. The contributors to this site endeavor to do just that.

Finding Hope in a Hopeless World

The world is on a precipice.  With Russia and Iran openly declaring their own "red line" in Syria, and the US vowing to ignore it and step up their ground and air assaults against the Assad regime, the world is now closer to nuclear war than it has been since the Cuban Missile Crisis of October, 1962.
This game of brinkmanship, where one side is expected to blink first, is bound to end badly. With the US propaganda machine in overdrive, painting Putin and Russia as pure evil, and Donald Trump surrounded by war-mongering neocons determined to start World War III, we can expect the worst.
Neither side looks prepared to blink.  Assad is asserting his right to rule, based on opinion polls and election results that place his favourability among native Syrians in the 90% range.  Russia and Iran are asserting their right to defend an ally, having been formally invited in by the legitimate government of Syria.  For its part, the United States and its allies are determined to rip Syria apart by covertly arming terrorist groups who hold no moral values.

The divide-and-conquer strategy has been in effect for seven years, and has included false-flag operations that fallaciously blame the Assad regime for horrific chemical weapons attacks and human rights violations.  Israel, Turkey, and the rest of the NATO alliance are being coerced into playing the high-stakes game.  Saudi Arabia and its allies in the Gulf eagerly support ISIS terrorists with arms, fighters and funding, while the rest of the world is helpless to do anything.  Most people are too busy getting on with the business of life - going to work, taking care of family, having fun - to challenge the mainstream Western narrative, let alone do anything about the impending global catastrophe.

All of this is happening while the prospects of war are being ramped up on the Korean peninsula.  The US and its allies in the region are constantly provoking the North Korean regime and isolating it from the world, feeding the paranoia of its leader.  Meanwhile, in southern Sudan, a humanitarian disaster of epic proportions is unfolding as 20 million people are dependent on UN food aid for survival.  There are at least 10 million refugees in other parts of the world, living in utter desperation from one meal to the next.  Tens of thousands are attempting to enter Europe every day, overwhelming the social safety nets of the recipient nations.

Ecosystems are under extreme stress worldwide.  Disease and famine are beginning to kill tens of millions of people every year.  Fukushima continues to kill the Pacific ocean at an alarming rate by spewing radiative water off the coast of Japan unendingly.  At the same time, the chemical spraying of the world's atmosphere - "chemtrails" - is no longer a conspiracy, but a publicly announced policy.

And to top it off, by all objective measures, we are on the verge of a global economic meltdown that will see trillions of dollars of wealth evaporate and hundreds of millions of people become unemployed.  Veritably, we are living on the threshold of global disaster.

These realities are neatly summarized in a single video:

In the midst of all this despairing news, where do we find hope?  To my mind, there is only one place: in God.  This does not mean blind hope in invisible forces, or throwing up one's arms to the sky. Instead, this means having faith that what we are going through is only a stage - birth pangs, if you will, of a new civilization.  The current world order is dying, even as a new one is being born.

We are all being called to become midwives to this difficult birthing process.  We must open our eyes and see the truth of the state of the world and the causes of human suffering.  We must be willing to face the cold, hard, ugly truth of WHO is controlling this unjust world and HOW they are manipulating truth and history for their own selfish ends, risking the destruction of the planet in the process.  We must be willing to stand up in the face of this truth, and speak this truth to power.  We must be willing to embrace HOPE in the midst of all this hopelessness, and BELIEVE that we can make a difference.  And here's how you CAN make a difference:
