In times of universal deceit, telling
the truth is a revolutionary act.
         - George Orwell

Napoleon once observed that "history" is a set of lies agreed upon. In an era of ubiquitous fake news and information warfare, this has never been more true. The very concept of objective truth in history is fading out of our world. Pure propaganda and outright lies are passing into our history textbooks as unquestioned truth, condemning future generations to false views about historical reality. But the task of sifting through the lies and propaganda is overwhelming, limited by the ambition and time constraints of most observors. Only those who have dedicated their lives to sorting reality from falsehood are qualified to rewrite "consensus" history as a duty to humanity. The contributors to this site endeavor to do just that.

Who Will Blink First?

Late afternoon (Moscow time), US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson touched down in Moscow for critical talks with his Russian counterparts.  Just hours prior, Russian President Putin set the tone for the meeting, repeating the claim that the recent gas attack in Syria is a "false flag" - a deliberately planned act of terror by the military-intelligence complex of the United States to justify direct military action against the Assad regime.  Putin revealed that Russian intelligence has uncovered more such plots in the works, designed to demonize the Assad regime and its allies in the eyes of the world to justify full-scale warfare.
Meanwhile, American media is sticking to the unsubstantiated story that the gas attacks were perpetrated by Assad, and all debate has shifted not to whether Trump should step up the war campaign against Syria and the Russians, but rather when, and by how much.  And at the time of this writing (Tuesday afternoon, 3:30pm), US Defence Secretary Mattis is taking to the podium to lay out several ultimatums, basically telling the world that the US and its allies are willing to risk nuclear war with Russia in order to accomplish regime change in Syria.

The situation could hardly be more tense.  It is October, 1962 all over again.  Who will blink first?

In 1962, the Russians blinked first - but only after President Kennedy offered a face-saving gesture to make the bargain a two-way street:  Russia would agree to remove the missile bases in Cuba IF the United States would do the same in Turkey.  The deal was agreed to in private, and the world stepped away from the brink of all-out nuclear conflict.

There is reason to believe a deal of this kind will not happen this time.  The United States has gone "all in" with its propaganda war against both Assad and the Russians.  No evidence has been forthcoming regarding the origins of the chemical attacks last week.  President Trump opted to "bomb first, ask questions later" as part of a domestic political strategy to prove himself "presidential".  Addicted to war and bullying the rest of the world, Americans see their president as "presidential" and worthy of bipartisan support only if he is picking fights with other nations.  Indeed, hyper-critical CNN finally came out to endorse Trump (for the first time!) after the missile strikes on Friday morning.  Other critics of Trump did the same, seeing it as patriotic to support a president only when he is waging war.

The Russians are not falling for it, however.  They know the truth about the Idlib attacks, and aren't going to stand for one more Islamic nation being bombed to smithereens by the Americans.  The line in the sand has been drawn, and moreover, the anti-aircraft missile batteries are in place.  With the "deconfliction" telephone line between Moscow and Washington severed, the next act of war by the Americans will be met with a stark response, and the war will be on.

We could literally be only days away from World War III.  There has never been a more critical time for us to speak Truth to Power.  Please spread the knowledge that the Idlib gas attack was a false flag attack.  Don't let the Americans start World War II based on a lie.

Here is an excellent video deconstructing the "false flag" Putin is speaking about:

Putin: "Idlib Was A "False Flag" Attack And We Have Learned That More Are Coming"

by Tyler Durden,, Apr 11, 2017

With Rex Tillerson on his way to Russia, moments ago Russian president Vladimir Putin shocked reporters when he said that Russia has received intelligence from "trusted sources" that more attacks using chemical weapons are being prepared on the Damascus region, meant to pin the blame on the Assad government.

“We have reports from multiple sources that false flags like this one – and I cannot call it otherwise – are being prepared in other parts of Syria, including the southern suburbs of Damascus. They plan to plant some chemical there and accuse the Syrian government of an attack,” he said at a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Moscow

The Russian President announced that Russia will officially turn to the UN in the Hague for an investigation of the chemical weapons' use in Idlib.  Moscow has dismissed suggestions that the Syrian government that it backs could be behind the attack in Idlib province.

"All incidents reminiscent of the 'chemical attacks' that took place in Idlib must be thoroughly investigated," Putin said.

Damascus denied the allegations, noting that the targeted area may have been hosting chemical weapons stockpiles belonging to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) or Al-Nusra Front jihadists.

The incident has not been properly investigated as yet, but the US fired dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase in a demonstration of force over what it labeled a chemical attack by Damascus.

Putin also pointed out that the latest US missile strikes in Syria bring to mind the United States' UN Security Council address in 2003 that led to the invasion of Iraq, an address which has now been thorougly debunked as using flawed information to garner global support for an invasion.

“President Mattarella and I discussed it, and I told him that this reminds me strongly of the events in 2003, when the US representatives demonstrated at the UN Security Council session the presumed chemical weapons found in Iraq. The military campaign was subsequently launched in Iraq and it ended with the devastation of the country, the growth of the terrorist threat and the appearance of Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS] on the world stage,” he added.

The Russian president also slammed the Idlib attack, officially denouncing it as a "false flag" attack.

Putin also said that there is no meeting with Tillerson currently on his schedule.

Following Putin's presser, Russian General Staff released a statement announcing that it has information of militants bringing poisonous substances to areas of Khan Shaykhun, West of Aleppo and Eastern Guta in Syria.

Chief of the Russian General Staff Main Operational Directorate Col. Gen. Sergei Rudskoy said that the militants are trying to provoke new accusations targeted at Syrian government for alleged use of chemical weapons. The militants aim to incite the US to conduct new strikes, Rudskoy warned, adding that such measures are impermissible. He said that according to the Russian general staff new US airstrikes in Syria are unacceptable and that the Syrian forces posses no chemical weapons.
Here are two videos from that also show that the Idlib gas attack was a false flag, and that the United States is WANTING to start World War III for geostrategic purposes, naively believing it can "contain" the war and remain untouched on home soil:

  1. It is a day after Trump dropped the non-bomb and what I find the most disturbing is no one blinked or even really acknowledged this possible/probable global life altering event. I imagined more outrage.
