In times of universal deceit, telling
the truth is a revolutionary act.
         - George Orwell

Napoleon once observed that "history" is a set of lies agreed upon. In an era of ubiquitous fake news and information warfare, this has never been more true. The very concept of objective truth in history is fading out of our world. Pure propaganda and outright lies are passing into our history textbooks as unquestioned truth, condemning future generations to false views about historical reality. Erica Derrickson - Embodiment of a Truthseeker

Every once in a while we encounter truly amazing, extraordinary individuals.  One such person I met recently - if only through YouTube videos (not in person)  - is Erica Derrickson, from Boston.  I found her after searching for YouTube videos on Auroville, the experimental off-the-grid city in southern India, where I am considering moving next year.  Erica made Auroville one of her many stops during a six-month cross-country backpacking tour of India in 2015.
A prolific author and video archivist, Erica posted her entire journey on various social media sites (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), revealing every aspect of her journey and what she was experiencing.  I find her not only breathtakingly beautiful, but deep.  She's on a path of self-discovery that I find ultimately laudable. For me, she is the embodiment of a Truthseeker, and some day, I hope to meet her.

Check out her videos linked below, and tell me if I'm wrong...

Here's a link to a YouTube video on Auroville for those who are interested:
