In times of universal deceit, telling
the truth is a revolutionary act.
         - George Orwell

Napoleon once observed that "history" is a set of lies agreed upon. In an era of ubiquitous fake news and information warfare, this has never been more true. The very concept of objective truth in history is fading out of our world. Pure propaganda and outright lies are passing into our history textbooks as unquestioned truth, condemning future generations to false views about historical reality. But the task of sifting through the lies and propaganda is overwhelming, limited by the ambition and time constraints of most observors. Only those who have dedicated their lives to sorting reality from falsehood are qualified to rewrite "consensus" history as a duty to humanity. The contributors to this site endeavor to do just that.

Bulgarian Journalist Fired After Uncovering Awful Truth: CIA Arming ISIS In Syria

Investigative journalists have long asserted that the CIA has been arming not only "moderate rebels" in Syria (which don't actually exist), but also ISIS fighters.  Every now and again, conclusive proof of this fact is uncovered.  But rather than this garnering headline news coverage, such stories are buried by the mainstream media and the journalists who uncover this ugly truth end up losing their jobs (or worse yet, are killed).
Bulgarian journalist Dilyana Gaytandzhieva has experienced just this, after discovering one of the secret channels through which ISIS fighters are armed and funded.
Gaytandzhieva proved that Silkway Airlines of Azerbaijan, along with Purple Shovel LLC (a CIA cut-out), has been transporting weapons to ISIS for the CIA.  More than 250 "diplomatic" flights were secretly used to transport American-made weapons to ISIS terrorists.  Al Jazeera helped break this story, and Gaytandzhieva's findings were published in full by Sibel Edmonds'

The arms shipment operations has all the hallmarks of a Gladio-B-style operation, whereby enemies of convenience are secretly trained, funded, armed, and encouraged to commit attrocities for the emotional impact they serve in the media.  For her life-endangering work, the Bulgarian authorities intensely interrogated her and had her fired from her job.  One more casualty in the information wars.

What this story demonstrates is that serious journalists who do the hard work of discovering the truth often pay for it with their careers.  There is a high cost to pay for being a Truthseeker in today's world.
